So I came across thinglink.com. Its a great site to create interactive images. I used it right now with an image of myself and I linked sites related to me. Click on the about me link and trace your mouse over the circle icons. If you click on the icons it will take you to different sites.
This can be a great tool in terms of creating a scavenger hunt with students with sites you already approve. It can also be used as an assessment. I'm sure there are many other possibilities If you can think of more share your ideas in the comment box.
